PIXIE PARTY NFT PREVIEW

Hey Y'all, it's Josh. Lots happened since our 2021 launch. Notably, a pin was put in the project when I pursued a professional design and portrait artist role for the National Scouting Museum. In some ways, undertaking Pixie Party both qualified and prepared me for the lofty task Scouts entrusted me with of heightening their history and visual branding. Culminating from the last year and a half as the museum's project manager, NSM has since dedicated their newly renovated Scouting Heritage Gallery and now showcases a special painting, titled "A Grand Moment", which commemorates the inaugural class of female Eagle Scouts. With these major milestones now achieved, let's kick the Party off once again. Importantly, even though my focus was called for recently, I did manage to quietly develop select concepts for new installments and Pixie permutations. For those who carry the party to all hours, this preview is for you :)

Pixie Party — Classic Collection

Super PiG — a finer cut

Pixie Party is the flagship collection and vengeance story which Super Pig and fellow Pixies rise against imperial subjugation. Created under the backdrop of real-world dilemmas, such as wealth inequality, Pixie Party uses fantasy cope with this moment and satire to ridicule archaic structures that separate the elite-class from the vulnerable masses.

What once started as a minimalist experiment to discover the lowest-resolution style achievable within digital media, Pixie Party quickly evolved from its playful pixel-doodles into a sprawling allegory of superhero pigs, decapitations, and barbecue flavored villains.

As an art project, Pixie Party's Classic Collection comprises 666 editions separated into two variations:

Type-1: first 555 editions— reductive Pixie assets
Type-2: last 111 editions— 25 x 25 pixel Super Pig portraits

SingulaR Pixels weave an Epic Story

Pixie Party’s origin was first developed through a strand of bizarre character concepts. Inspired by childhood drawings and projecting from the artist’s recent themes of dissolution, characters such as Super Pig, Dr. BBQ, Super Loser, Disco Barf Girl and Winner Boy were first memorialized in digital form.

Feverishly inspired by the novel NFT medium, within five days of the origin character concept’s completion (Super Pig), Pixie Party’s genesis Playground was drafted. Though the extent of this achievement was unknown at the time, this special board would soon shape a fantastical narrative colored by hundreds of more playful and pint-sized assets.

Now bundled as the first installments of the Pixie Party Type-0 Collection, the Origin Characters and Pixie Party Playgrounds both unpacked the artist’s personal voice and helped to document chronological reactions of the tokenized art movement.

Though we know what sparked the beginning, our epic has just begun.
